OK, anytime I am at a loss I come here for advice. Maggie is seeming to be doing well, all tests were in line at the last Vet visit but my wallet continues to be thinner.
I have never had a dog spit out three puppy teeth in a week before. Can truthfully say I have never found three puppy teeth from one dog , she will spit the darn things out and play with them. They are not broken off, very little bleeding, because you can only see some blood spots on some soft toys she plays with. She was whelped 9/16/09 and just think it is kind of soon for her to be loosing this many, this quick. She chews on bones and rawhides like a mad dog, should I continue to give her these? I just don't want to cause a gum infection with this many coming out at one time and new ones coming in. At this rate she will be gumming her food in a couple of weeks. New pict. of Magnolia and my "Better Half". ![]() Head shot. ![]() Any advice is appreciated and Thank You in advance for any advice.

No worries, thats about right at the right age for it. And you never see them because they will useualy eat them. I found my first ones from our last young dog after 30 years of dogs. Your fine. They will chew some during this but will most likely not want to retrieve the best. We don't even bother working on that when teething.

Agreed, normal!! The usually do swallow them so you rarely find them. Had 2 pups same age that teethed last year and found one tooth, Jesse lost all his front teeth at once, should have got a pic of that, LOL!!
Let her chew, feels good, gums hurt and chewing helps new teeth come in & puppy teeth fall out. If mine seem sore...I would give them a frozen carrot. Worked kinda like the binkys you freeze for babies when they teeth, dogs loved them...... Last edited by zodiakgsps : 02-10-2010 at 08:17 AM. |
