Prize Drawings:
Prizes are drawn for monthly at a date and time to be determined by Outdoor Safety / Gun Dog Chat. Any Gun Dog Chat member is eligible to win, even if they are not actively posting on Gun Dog Chat. Members can win prizes no more than once every three (3) months. Winners will be notified via e-mail and must reply with a shipping address within 30 days, or the prize will be forfeited and drawn for again in the future. The winning member's shipping information is confidential and will be deleted after shipment. Delivery failure by the shipper (UPS or US Postal Service) does not obligate Outdoor Safety or Gun Dog Chat to re-issue another prize to the winner. Employees of Outdoor Safety or Gun Dog Chat may NOT participate in any prize drawings.
Privacy Policy:
Your information is confidential. Neither Gun Dog Chat.com nor its parent company Outdoor Safety will sell or otherwise distribute your account information. This information, which includes your name and e-mail address, will not be solicited or given to any third party for any purpose, such as promoting their products or services.
Forum Rules:
Although the administrators and moderators of Gun Dog Chat will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Gun Dog Chat, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.
As a member of Gun Dog Chat you agree that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or that otherwise violate any laws.
The owners of Gun Dog Chat reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. Additionally, the owners of Gun Dog Chat reserve the right to remove any member at anytime for abuses of this chat site; including, but not exclusive to, harrassing or otherwise causing disruption to Gun Dog Chat or its members. This action will be left to the sole discretion of the administrator and no explanation to the banned or suspended user is required. The user in question will be notified via email of any action taken by Gun Dog Chat administration.
Gun Dog Chat is intended to be used for your entertainment. It's meant to be informative, thought provoking, friendly, fun and helpful to you and your fellow members. It's a community of people who share a common love and respect for gun dogs and related activities. As in any community, there have to be rules that we all adhere to. The rules:
1) No profanity allowed.
2) No "adult" or sexually based discussion allowed.
3) No anti-hunting or anti-gun theses, proclamations or manifestos. Hunting is a big part of this site; if you don't like it, create your own chat site.
4) No unauthorized advertising. There's nothing wrong with asking /answering a legitimate question or making an honest statement regarding product brands like: "I like this brand of dog food" or "This gun manufacturer is my favorite", but if you're soliciting business... that's a no-no. If you'd like to advertise on Gun Dog Chat, we'd be happy to e-mail you rates for banner advertising.
5) No "spamming" to other sites.
6) Discussion of illegal activities is forbidden and will be dealt with severely, including notification of law enforcement authorities.
7) Anyone attempting to harm, hack or otherwise damage this site will be dealt with legally. Federal agencies will be notified.
8) No harassment (or stalking) of members. We recommend that you remain anonymous, as people aren't always who they say they are. Protect yourself first and foremost.
In summary, keep it clean, safe and fun. To a large degree, chat sites are self-policed communities. If you notice abuse, contact us immediately. Your username will be kept anonymous. At the same time, remember that the written word can often be misinterpreted, so ask the member in question to clarify what they've written first before assuming the worst. Be courteous and kind to one another - we want this site to be a safe haven for our members. And PLEASE be patient with new members and novices; they'll be looking to the rest of us for guidance in the forums and in navigating the site... so have a heart.
