These are the proposed dates for Michigan From CWAC (Citizens Waterfowl Action Committee). These still need to be approved by NRC and the Feds. It is a liberal (60 day) season for ducks with the major changes being pintails open all 60 days at 1/day and scaup being reduced to 2/day.
ZONE 1 (UP): Oct. 1 to Nov. 29, no split
ZONE 2(NLP): Oct. 1 to Oct. 9, Oct. 21 to Dec. 9
ZONE 3(SLP): Oct. 15 to Dec. 11, Dec. 31 and January 1
4 mallards, only one hen.
Zone 1 canvasback season is the first 30 days of the duck season.
Zone 2 and 3 are the last 30 days of the season.
