Great pictures!! Does he sit in the blind with you or in a mutt hutt beside the blind?
I think it is time to get the decoys out and clean them off and re mud the coffin blinds and get them ready for the openner.
Our opening day is September 4th and I can not believe it is almost here already.

Actually hubby Brad is going to take along her mutt hut but he's been working with Remi (female) on actually staying in the coffin blind with him. He bought a new coffin blind and it actually has a zipper opening at the toe of the blind and that's where Remi will hang out. Our season opens Sept. 1st.

Yup, part of our hunting is getting the dogs used to the hut. I know it is the training and I know Chelsea could handle the coffin blind but Katie would make a new exit in the toe the INSTANT the gun goes off. She is a driver. I can keep her fairly steady if she can see the action but if the gun goes off and she can't see, ohhhh boy. Great pictures. Rick

Well goose season opened Sept. 1st but unfortunately no birds could be found or if found, they would not come into range. But day 6 was a good day...hubby Brad (in yellow t-shirt) and father-in-law had a great morning hunt. They have been hunting in the wheat and pickle fields in coffin blinds, setting out decoys and trying to call the birds in and today it worked! Now since they are jazzed up, their going out again tomorrow morning if the rain holds off and hopefully will be successful again - this is my father-in-laws first time goose hunting and he's definitely hooked!

Congrats to them. I have not found a lot of fields up here being hit but I have located a few birds on a large swamp lake back in the middle of state land. May give it a try in the morning. Rick
