Coloroado goose hunt!

hey yall went to a sportsman for fish and wildlife banquet last night and scored a 2 person guided goose hunt in Colorado with waterfowl haven outfitters! I cant wait to figure out who is going with and oplan the days. Anyone ever hunted with these folks? I talked to a guy at the dinner who went last year and the grouyp limited out in under an hour! man cant wait I never shot a goose before.

That sounds great but what kind of goose hunt?

I haven't in awhile now but did many Canadian and Giants over water and fields a few years back.
It's a blast when the action comes and you know why the Feds limit us to 3 rounds then.

It's much like pheasant hunting except you lie on your back, a pit blind or boat and they come to you even. :)

I do have to admit there's lots of shotgun pattern size holes between birds even when 30-50 are decending on you even with my ten gauge. :)

I will say that's where Labs, Chessies and my old Golden excel and the retrieves though. My Brit would look at me now and saw retrieve that? Fetch it youself, I'll find you a real bird. :D

well i wont be hunting till next fall/winter. It will be canadas and hopefully some snows will be in. I will definetly bring some pics back. me and my army buddy will be going. we plan on stopping and trying to find some pheasants while were out that way too. still a ways off to plan. jim
