What do you all think of Duck Commander calls, what about Qauck Head calls. I just got into duck hunting and I need some calls I don't want to spend a lot on calls.

For a cheap good duck call check out Buck Gardner calls, you'll like them. They are around 20 bucks i think. Check them out.

I recently bought one, its a flextone duck call, about 15 bucks, and its rubber! Go figure :D It seemed to work fine in the duck blind!

I never had much musical talent and that played a bight part in my lousey calling.
I found Faulk calls cheap and easiest to use. Also found an old Alt call in an antique shop for ten bucks that worked well. The more expensive calls didn't work well for me though.
It was me though as my cousin has picked up those calls and made them sound like real ducks. Some have it and some don't.
Practice often and once you're kicked out of the house, try practicing while driving alone. You might get some looks but who cares?

The Quack Head line of calls are pretty good actually for the price, you really won't go wrong with them. Look at the J-Frame combo which comes with the call, extra set of reeds, lanyard and instructional CD.

I have used the FlexTone calls and not like the tone or sound out of them at all. The QuakerBoy Quack Master(single reed) and Raspy Quack Master (double reed) are both good sounding calls that I have had great success with.
If you are relatively new to calling stau with the doubles for a while as they are generally easier to blow and then add a single as well later on.

Quackhead (RNT), Echo, DC and many others make good entry level calls. Find one that fits your style and practice.

I've never had much luck with Duck Comander calls.

I really like Holt calls.

I've used Haydel, but recently have had them stick on me about 70% of the time, or right when I need them to blow.
