The following are pictures from our New Years Eve hunt. It was me, Dave, Ria and Jim Belmont and his dog Cappy. The hunt it on Jim's land. We got to the spot about 6:30 and it started to sprinke. There was a pretty stiff west wind too. We got to the blinds about ten minutes later. The fields were still pretty soaked from the rains on Friday. We get to our blinds. I was in a blind with Dave and Ria and Jim and Cappy was in blind at the other end of the wet lands. Each dog ended up with a cripple. Pretty cool to watch them work. The total in about 90 mintues was 6 birds. I missed the 2 I shot at. Oh well.
Magnum came along, but doesn't hunt anymore. We are worrried he'll get stuck in the mud and he arthritic legs won't get him out. So, he stayed at the house with Carol, Jim's wife. Carol was under the weather. But, boy did he have fun with all the new smells.
