Went out this morning for a quick hunt as my friend had to get to work.
It was a very foggy morning and we found it hard to get in to get set up even.
We got all the decoys out and got the trucks put away and we would usually have had only a half hour or so before we started to see flocks. This morning it was an hour and a half. First flock came right in to the call. It is kinda eirie to see them just appear suddenly out of the fog like that but we dropped two out of the first flock. I called them back around again and took one more before they decided they had had enough.
Called in a second flock and they they came right in nice and locked right up.
We called the shot and nothing for me as I had not reloaded from the last time.... dohhhh My friend did take one from the flock and that gave us four for the morning.
Nothing much doing for a while and we had to pull the plug as my partener was expected else where.
The really bad part about all this is that as we are picking up the flights that we usually see were in the air. Had we waited another hour I am pretty sure we could have had our limit or pretty close to it.
It was good to see all the birds around and we will be back again soon to reaquaint ourselves with them.
I will post pictures this afternoon after I get them down loaded.

Thanks for the story and pics, Mav. The birds do get on you in a hurry in dense fog, that's for sure.
